The very first edition of this sports day took place during the Roze Kwaku Festival 2024, marking a significant milestone for inclusivity in sports. This event created a safe, inclusive space where everyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, could experience the joy of sports. The day was especially, though not exclusively, focused on LGBTQIA+ individuals, offering a unique opportunity to come together, empower each other, and build bridges between different communities. Colourful Pride is committed to increasing the visibility of women and queer people in sports and builds bridges between the queer community and the broader society. By embracing sports as a powerful tool for change, we promote mutual acceptance and respect, and we are building a society where everyone feels at home.
