COLOURFUL PRIDE X MS.JONES PRIDE BOAT 2024!
One of our highlights this year is the Colourful Pride x Ms.Jones Pride boat during the 2024 Canal Parade. Here, we celebrate love and diversity and provide visibility and space for the bicultural queer woman. We are proud of our collaboration with Ms. Jones, a Community and Party for lesbian women, particularly bicultural lesbian women.
Participating in the boat parade shows the participants that they are allowed to exist, that they are seen, and that they have just as much right to take up space and be their wonderful selves. We hope that our presence encourages the audience to feel recognized and empowered.
During the Canal Parade, everyone on board on the Colourful Pride x Ms.Jones Pride Boot may bring their own flag of origin. We encourage everyone to show where they come from, who they are, and to highlight that, although we may differ from the person next to us, together we demonstrate the power of diversity and unity. Especially now, in these polarizing times, we show that our differences should not be barriers to being together but are instead a beautiful addition to our unity. How we will express this year's theme "Together" remains a surprise for now, but one thing is certain: it will be Colourful!
COLOURFUL PRIDE WOMEN'S FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT PINK KWAKU
On Sunday, July 23, 2023, the first Colourful Pride Women's football tournament will take place at Roze Kwaku from 4:00 PM. Six women's teams [5 vs 5] will compete against each other on this Roze Kwaku day and aim for the number 1 position of the tournament.

Colorful Pride is proud of this historic moment and the start of this beautiful collaboration. Colorful Pride wants to generate more visibility for women in football in this way.

THE FIGHT QLUB X EUROGAMES 2022 NIJMEGEN
Eurogames Nijmegen 2022 is a fully inclusive sporting event. The games will host 19 different sports and approximately 2000 participants at all levels. The Fight Qlub - Queer Kickboxing will start the event at 09:15 on Friday July 29th.

QUEER NETWORK AMSTERDAM
Queer Network Amsterdam is Online!
It is the first time in Amsterdam's LGBTIQ+ history that 22 organizations have committed themselves to one common goal. Queer Network Amsterdam is fighting for a structurally more diverse and inclusive Amsterdam. We do this not only during 1 Pride week but 365 days a year.
In the past year we have created over 130 activities with even more to come! check out the agenda at www.queernetworkamsterdam.com to find these activities. Next week our posters will be spread through the whole city of Amsterdam. We will be visible and loud because no one is free until we all are free.

#WATDOEJIJ CLASS TOUR AT THE AMSTERDAMS LYCEUM
In the spirit of Purple Friday 💜, Colourful Pride Netherlands has organized the #WatDoeJij campaign in collaboration with the Municipality of Amsterdam this year. With this campaign, Colourful Pride wants to create awareness among young people online and offline about discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ community.

On Thursday, December 9, Colourful Pride organized the #WatDoeJij workshops at Het Amsterdams Lyceum. During a class tour of 8 - 3rd year classes, workshop supervisors Ewald and Cherinne discussed different scenarios regarding LGBTQ+ acceptance, discrimination and support.
It was a super successful and educational day where we heard great and honest opinions from the students.

❤️🌈Colourful Pride's priority during the workshops was to create a safe environment and we certainly succeeded in that. During the workshops, no fewer than 2 students and 1 teacher had his coming out. ❤️🌈
#WATDOEJIJ WORKSHOP IN JACO
With #WatDoeJij, Colourful Pride wants to create awareness among young people online and offline about discrimination against the LGBTIQ+ community.

On Saturday, October 12, Colourful Pride organized the #WatDoeJij workshop at the JACO youth center in Amsterdam. During this workshop, workshop supervisors Ewald and Cherinne talked to young people about different scenarios regarding LGBTQ+ acceptance, discrimination and support.

After the conversation, the connection was established through games and kickboxing exercises.

To conclude the first TFQ season, UFC champion Germaine De Randamie gives a masterclass.
MS.JONES - QUEER WOMEN SILENT DISCO PARTY
The Ms.Jones silent disco created a safer space for queer women during the measures in force. It was great to still be able to enjoy it together.
QUEER STAND UP COMEDY
The Queer Stand Up Comedy was a success! We would love to organize a new edition next year! Many thanks to all visitors and the stand up comedians.
COLOURFUL PRIDE SEATED GARDEN FEST.
The Colourful Pride Garden Fest. it was a great day. The day started with a welcome word from Sherryl Netteb, followed by guest speakers from Rainbow Anonymous NL and Roze in Blauw. After a short break we could laugh, scream and roar with performances by Queer stand up comedians.
The evening hours were reserved for the Queer women, where they could enjoy each other during a silent disco party.

Colourful Pride is affiliated with the Regenboog Safety Alliance
In Amsterdam you are free to be who you want to be and to love who you want to love. To be yourself, you need a feeling of security. However, LGBTIQ+ people in Amsterdam face intimidation, violence and discrimination. That is unacceptable and it puts the right to be yourself in freedom in our city under pressure.
That is why on June 30, 2021, 26 social groups and organizations*, mayor Femke Halsema, councilor Rutger Groot Wassink and Head of Operations and member of the unit management of the Amsterdam police Pim Jansonius signed a cooperation agreement. Together we form the Rainbow Safety Alliance (RVA) to increase the safety of the rainbow community in Amsterdam.

WE CAN TRAIN TOGETHER INDOORS AGAIN!
Due to the relaxations that come into effect today - June 5 - group lessons can be given indoors again! This means that The Fight Qlub resilience lessons can start again!
From Thursday, June 10, 2021, The Fight Qlub will take place every week from 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the van Hogendorphal in Amsterdam.
Are you LGBTIQ+ and have you always wanted to learn the art of self-defense in a safer environment?
And do you also want to boost your self-confidence? Then this is your chance!
Register now for the kickboxing lessons of The Fight Qlub from the Colorful Pride Netherlands Foundation. During these lessons you will learn how to defend yourself using the basic kickboxing techniques. You practice these techniques with your training partner and/or on the punching bag. The Fight Qlub trainers are queer(friendly) professionals with a lot of experience. The main goals of these lessons are to boost self-confidence and become more resilient.

This year, TranScreen will take place completely online for the first time. Not only can you watch films via CultuurTicket and Vitamine Cineville, we also have panels via ZOOM and two workshops from Colourful Pride Netherlands, one of which will be outdoors. Of course, an opening cannot be missed at a film festival. That is why we will be festively opening the online festival on Thursday evening, May 13. Not only does the TranScreen team welcome you to the festival, we also have special contributions from filmmaker Fox and performer Mavi Veloso. You want to be here!

TRAINING 'VULNERABILITY AND SELF-LOVE'
The English version of the interactive training 'Vulnerability and Self-Love' for Respect2Love will take place on Thursday, April 29!
The concept of vulnerability is discussed in more depth and the group is introduced to a different approach to self-love.

The Rainbow Safety Alliance (RVA) feeds the Municipality
with anonymized incidents of LGBTQI+ harassment, discrimination and violence in Amsterdam. By providing insight into signals that affect safety, targeted action can be taken.

'THE FIGHT QLUB' BY COLOURFUL PRIDE NETHERLANDS
Weekly resilience training for the LGBTIQ+ community. At 'The Fight Qlub' by Colorful Pride Netherlands you can learn the art of self-defense in a safe environment and boost your self-confidence.
During the lessons you will become resilient with the basic techniques of kickboxing through various kicking and punching movements.
TRAINING 'VULNERABILITY AND SELF-LOVE'
On Saturday, October 24, we were able to provide an online zoom training to 7 beautiful young Queer & Trans BIPOC students from Respect2Love (COC Netherlands).
In most cases, BIPOC individuals feel that they were not raised to show vulnerability and talk openly about their own feelings. This has a huge impact on the level of self-love that is developed and how difficult issues in life are dealt with.
The aim of the training was to help students become more in touch with and talk about their feelings without them consciously realizing it. The underlying goal of the training is to take a first step towards normalizing discussing one's own feelings and showing vulnerability, with a side step towards indicating boundaries.
TRAINING 'SETTING BOUNDARIES' AT SHRI LAKSMI PRIMARY SCHOOL
On Wednesday, October 21, we were given the opportunity to give a "Setting Boundaries" training at Shri Laksmi primary school. The children from group 8 did great! The purpose of the training is to give the children tools to address each other about behavior that they do not like. By recognizing their own feelings and giving them tools to discuss them, it becomes less scary to set boundaries and recognize them in others.
TOGETHER AGAINST BREAST CANCER
This breast cancer month, Colorful Pride is joining forces with BOB against Breast Cancer NL. (black owned business) to support women (and men) with breast cancer.
To contribute to Breast Cancer Research, Colourful Pride donates €1 from each Colorful Pride Pin sold to the KWF Cancer Control Foundation throughout the month of October. Every year, the lives of more than 17 thousand Dutch women - and those around them - change dramatically due to a breast cancer diagnosis. Due to the treatments that are undergone, but also due to the uncertainty that the disease entails. Breast cancer is a disease with many, often unknown faces that dramatically changes lives. Research remains necessary. Breast cancer is different for every woman. Not only in terms of treatment, but also in terms of consequences. From chronic fatigue, sexual problems, heart complaints to misunderstanding at work and fear of the disease returning. In the Netherlands, 1 in 7 women is diagnosed with breast cancer. That's more than 17,000 women every year. Although the chances of survival are improving, more than 3,000 women still die every year from the consequences of the disease. Men can also be diagnosed with breast cancer.

FROM IDEA TO REALITY: THE EVOLUTION OF COLORFUL PRIDE NETHERLANDS
The founder of the Colourful Pride Foundation, Sherryl Netteb, has been committed to the BIPOC LGBTIQ+ community since 2009. As a diversity advisor, event organizer and international DJ, Sherryl Netteb lovingly creates visibility and a safer space for the community. In 2020, Sherryl Netteb wants to establish an initiative that will continuously promote visibility and the well-being of the BIPOC LGBTIQ community through physical resilience training (self-defense), empowerment activities and festive events. Welcome to the Colorful Pride Netherlands Foundation.
